——— About Aimee
I’ve built my career in the space between the idea and what actually gets done.
Hi, I’m Aimee Perdomo Cusimano, founder of The Occasion Formula.
Over 23 years, I’ve worked across sales, national accounts, distributor management, shopper and trade marketing, and both the supplier and agency sides. That includes 12+ years at Diageo, along with time at Coors, Dieste and Integer.
I’ve seen where good ideas get lost before they reach the customer. That experience shaped how I work today: finding the moments that matter, identifying what is getting in the way and turning opportunities into practical action.
I work with growing businesses that need help knowing where to focus and brands and enterprise teams that need commercial marketing support.
Based in Dallas, Texas, and working with clients nationally.
——— My Approach
I’ve always been a bit of a fixer.
Sometimes the idea is good but unfinished. Sometimes the obvious answer is not the best one.
I look at things from different angles, question assumptions and find ways to make the idea stronger and more executable.
That instinct is a big part of why I built The Occasion Formula.
——— EXPERIENCE FROM MORE THAN ONE SIDE OF THE BUSINESS
I know what happens between strategy and execution because I’ve worked across both.
My experience spans sales, marketing, customers, agencies, distributors and the channels where plans ultimately come to life.
From strategy to shelf, screen and experience.

——— THE IDEA IS ONLY THE BEGINNING
The original idea does not have to be mine for me to add value.
Sometimes a client already knows what they want to accomplish. My role is to understand the intent and help turn the idea into something stronger, more connected and more executable.
That might mean shaping the commercial plan, connecting shopper behavior to the right message or activation, or finding where the opportunity is getting lost across sales, marketing and customer experience.
A good idea can come from anywhere. The value is in knowing how to make it work.
——— THAT BECAME THE OCCASION FORMULA
Find the opportunity. Build the plan. Put it to work.
I start with what the business needs, understand when and why the customer has a reason to care, then connect the offer, sales, marketing and experience needed to make the opportunity real.
The work is collaborative. The thinking is structured, but the answer is built around the business in front of us.
